I’m Alexei Fastlightning, an entrepreneur and youth mentor from Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation in Treaty 6 Territory.

I grew up on reserve, and I know what it’s like to feel stuck in patterns you want to change. For me, that included negative thinking, too much gaming and unhealthy eating habits. Learning to change my environment, build healthier routines and follow through on small commitments became part of finding a different direction.

Today, I’m building businesses, developing community-focused technology and growing The Pursuit, my youth mentorship community. I bring the lessons from that ongoing journey into my speaking and workshops, including the setbacks and the work behind the progress.

I help youth explore their own patterns, recognize their strengths and identify steps toward what matters to them. Through The Pursuit, eligible youth can continue learning with lessons, group calls and peer support beyond the event.

I’m Alexei Fastlightning, an entrepreneur and youth mentor from Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation in Treaty 6 Territory. Through speaking and interactive workshops, I help Indigenous youth recognize their strengths, explore what’s possible for their future and take practical steps toward their own goals.

I grew up on reserve and have lived with diagnosed anxiety. I know what it feels like to get caught in negative thinking, too much gaming and unhealthy eating patterns. Alongside navigating my mental health, I began changing my environment, building healthier routines and learning to follow through on small commitments.

Today, I’m travelling the world, building businesses and developing community-focused technology. I share the setbacks, decisions and everyday habits behind that journey so young people can connect those lessons to their own circumstances.

My sessions invite youth to identify a pattern they want to change, recognize a strength they can build on and choose a manageable next step. Whether their goals involve education, business or everyday life, the focus is on helping them find a starting point that feels relevant and achievable.

Through The Pursuit, my youth mentorship community, eligible youth can continue learning through lessons, group calls and peer support beyond the event.

A 60–90-minute session combining lived experience and storytelling with reflection on confidence, responsibility and taking action.


Interactive workshop

Guided discussion and activities that help youth explore the ideas and identify a next step they can apply in their own lives.

Support beyond the event

Eligible youth can be onboarded into The Pursuit, my youth mentorship community, for continued learning and connection.

Booking questions

What does a booking include?

A booking can include a speaking session, an interactive workshop, or both. We’ll agree on the format and session length around your event.

Can you adapt the session to our youth?

Yes. We’ll discuss your audience’s ages, your community and your goals, then shape the session around that.

What is the fee, and is travel included?

Fees depend on the format and scope of the booking. Travel and accommodations are arranged separately, with a clear quote provided before you confirm.

How does the ongoing mentorship work?

Eligible youth can join The Pursuit for continued lessons, weekly group calls, resources and peer support. We’ll confirm participation and onboarding details with you.
